give & take

Check out our new online recycled items posting board. Something to give away? Something you need? Everything is free!

Do you have a perfectly good couch or bed, a wood desk or bookshelf, a bed that still has life or building supplies like a part bale of new insulation or wood bifold doors?

We can’t take these items in our free store because they are not recyclable and NU-TO-YU may not be able to take them because they are too large. But they are still useable. Why not post them here?

Reusing products conserves material, energy and labour, and preserves the cultural value that went into making them. Gifting reduces waste, saves natural resources, eases the burden on our local landfill and helps people who may not have the financial means to buy them. One person’s trash is another’s treasure.

How it Works
Simply send us an e-mail givetake@penderislandrecycling.com
with a photograph of the “giveaway” item, a description of the item and how you can be contacted (phone and/or e-mail). If you are looking for a specific item, describe what you are looking for and how you can be contacted.

If you are interested in a posted giveaway item or you have the item that someone is looking for, you can make direct contact with this person.
